I have enjoyed all aspects of Medicine throughout my career. I continue to teach Doctors, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Medical Students, EMTs, and Premed students. I am currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado. I have also been on the teaching staff for Rocky Vista College of Osteopathic Medicine. In the area of Cardiovascular Disease I am particularly interested in Congestive Heart Failure, Echocardiography, and Preventive Cardiology. I was an invasive cardiologist for 26 years before switching to non-invasive cardiology. I still believe in the value of sitting down with patients to take a detailed history and then doing a cardiovascular physical exam. I make a concerted effort to keep up with the current cardiovascular literature and complete several continuing medical education hours every week.
